A Story About Hope.
Once upon a time there lived a girl, who always felt like she was different from others around her.
There were many times when she felt very weird and odd and left out. These fears and negative thoughts grew with her until they got the best of her. Everybody could tell and see that there were so many good things about her and wouldn't understand the reason for her depression and low self esteem. Folks would sometimes also complain that she was being ungrateful. In her heart, she knew this wasn't the case; so she would try hard to explain, but there came a point in her time, where she felt nobody around her would understand her. She was left all alone, in depths of darkness, with no friends.
Just then, in that utter darkness, something amazing happened. There appeared a glitter - a little, bright, shimmering light of hope.
She started to follow it. She kept following that little beam of light in spite of all the darkness around her, trying to pull her back in. She stood firm on her decision to follow the light, and she realized, as she kept working harder and harder, it kept getting easier and easier to move forward.
She kept following the light, which, now, she realized was growing bigger and bigger. So, she kept trying harder and harder and kept pushing forward towards it.
One day, when she thought she was only following it, she paused to look around and realized there was light all around her. She had left the shadows of unnecessary fear and darkness wayy back behind. Now she was part of the light - the optimistic, twinkling eternal beam of light.
Now it was her turn to decide whether she would keep this light that she received to herself or go out and be that light to someone else, who was trying hard to find their way out of darkness still.
P.S: I took that picture.
