Thanks man for the BC

Literally. Last summer. Dove head first in the deep end.

Metaphorically……. Several years back was in a lot of debt. Took ten years or so to get back right. Thankfully in a way better place now.

@YourMomsSecretCrush I can barely keep up with one credit card I couldn’t imagine having more 😂
@Workerbee I have none now.

@YourMomsSecretCrush that’s my goal in the future, no credit cards

Ten years ago. It didn't turn out well.

@exexec oh what happened
exexec · 61-69, C
@olderuncle944 We had a project that was nearing the end when the program manager/programmer quit to take another job. I was appointed to manage the task to completion, so I got a good briefing from the outgoing employee on what needed to be done and how our remaining programmer should finish it. Unfortunately, he did not tell me exactly how much was left and how unhappy the customer was. I know absolutely nothing about programming, so I could not carry on an intelligent conversation with the customer. Plus, our programmer was not up to the task. After a few weeks, the original guy came back and finished the task, but only after clarifying that what the customer was demanding was not what was in the contract. I didn't know that. It was a case of the wrong person (me) being given a task beyond his capability.

@exexec I have had the same thing happen trying to finish project some one else started with an engine only to find out additional parts need to be ordered and no one knew where the old parts were ,turns out the employ who quit took them with him , big problem the only parts we needed were only available in Italy if we had old parts we could have fabricated new ones or repair old ones .4 month delay and had to have some one who spoke Italian come in and play and interpreter for us.

I'm about to be in a couple weeks. Starting a new role doing stuff I've never done.
This entire week.
