I think it's very sad that a SWeep just encouraged me to commit suicide. Just another dumb on-line argument that turned to that.

I'm not in danger of listening, but how would they know that? One could get into serious trouble for encouraging suicide. Think twice. You wouldn't want that guilt either.

Suicide is stupid because you hurt the people you love more than you understand and I know that for a fact because a friend of mine who is 13 years old and was gay committed suicide by hanging himself it hurt me so much cuz he was a good friend who I cared about

@mysteryespresso Exactly. a lot of rumors get floated here about why EP shut down, but I did see firsthand the news story on a tv network's site. An impressionable young man on EP killed himself after being urged to do so by a young woman who was his "friend" on the site.

Suicide talk, and death threats, are serious stuff.

Dangerous territory. I'm familiar with 4 intentional suicides and in three I never would have suspected. One was a fellow employee who apparently overstated his abilities in his resume, got hired and was fired a week later. He then went home and committed suicide. Another was a good friend's grandchild who got broken off by his girlfriend, then went home and ...

We never know how emotionally fragile someone may be, and just the suggestion may be enough to push them over the edge.
