"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3

I don't know about you, but I am always at my best, when I keep my mind on one thing. I can multitask, sure, but I do much better when I take one thing at a time, and this is really what Jesus urges us to do, in His Word. He doesn't want us to get anxious, and we won't be, if we focus on Jesus, instead of the storm.

There is never been one time in my 50 years of loving and serving my Savior, that when I kept my mind focused on Him and all the wonderful things He is, has done for us, and given us, that He has not failed to give me peace and joy.

Think about it. Can you be hateful and grateful at the same time? No. Whatever you allow in your mind at the time, is the mood it will set you in. Take a little test. Think of a beautiful setting and one in which you are loving and enjoying everything around you. Do that right now. Okay, were you upset at that time or anxious? No. You had your mind on the right thing. When we keep our focus on Jesus, it takes the stress of the day, right away. With practice, you can train your mind to stray away and avoid negative thoughts that Satan tries to put in our mind.

When Jesus was on top of the mountain and Satan was trying to tempt Him, Jesus didn't have to fight the devil. He cannot be tempted and He knew that there's nothing Satan could offer him. Jesus was telling us, we don't HAVE to fight the devil. That has to be done on a spiritual level, and all we have to do is resist temptation and turn away from it, doing the Lord's will, and Jesus will give us the strength to resist sin and temptation. However, you must have Jesus as your Savior, if you want to fight a spiritual battle. You can't do that all alone, but with the strength and help from the Holy Spirit, that is placed in you after you accept Jesus as your Savior, you most definitely can, by the power and blood of Jesus. He promised to give us the strength, and I can vouch for that, after all these years, that He does. What I do, is pray immediately when Satan has me so down, I don't know what to do, then willfully turn to God In Prayer and keep my mind stayed on Him and He helps me. I turned to the Word of God, as well, as it is my armor against Satan. The blood of Jesus is not watered down. It does have the power to release us from the grips of sin. But it must be done by the authority of Jesus.

Satan will not acknowledge us as Authority, but he will definitely always recognize and acknowledge the authority of Jesus and His powerful blood to save us. Even at the NAME of Jesus, Satan trembles. That's because he knows Jesus' power. The Bible says to rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus, and by His authority, and he HAS to flee from you. Not because of you....but because of JESUS and the power of HIS blood. The power of Jesus' blood, destroys sin and every attempt to sway us in the wrong direction.

Keep Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face...
And the cares on Earth, shall grow faintly dim,
In the Light of His Glory and Grace! Amen!

When I focus on Thee, You set me free!

Thanks Grace for wonderful write it has been a blessing to me. I'm fighting a battle and just to live everyday is a struggle for me, but you said trials are just temporary they are like message sent by God.
@teachmetiger210503 I'd be lying if I told you I don't feel the same way sometimes but that's Satan whispering in our ears, things to bring us down, and that's his goal because he doesn't want us keeping our Focus On Christ and having peace of mind. The Bible says we don't battle flesh and blood, but spiritual wickedness in high places. That's not to scare us, that's to help us realize that if we're going to make it in this world, we have to fight spiritual things by God, who controls the spiritual world. We have to train our minds not to listen to that devil because he'll bring us down every time. That's when we need to get in God's word and read his promises and love for us and realize that Satan cannot defeat us if we will lean on Jesus to help us. Satan wants to destroy our lives. He wants people to kill themselves. That's not going to happen on my watch, because I'm trusting God and he always pulls me through, but I have to put in the effort to pray and trust him and keep my focus on God and positive things, or I'll go right off in a ditch. That's why this battle is so hard, because we're fighting Satan who is the spirit and the only way we can fight him, is to ask God to help us and give us the strength to persevere, and he does. I refuse to listen to that devil. God is much greater than him. What I said was challenges are not to hurt us but to help us grow in strength as we trust in Christ. Keep me in your prayers and I'll keep you in my prayers as well. I'll be glad when we don't have to fight our flesh anymore. The only way to be happy is to stay in Christ and resist temptation. We must grow in Christ daily and that's why it's important to read our Bible daily and to pray. That's putting on the whole armor of God and trusting him to help us. Whenever negative thoughts come in your mind, train yourself to stop those thoughts right then and there and not give in to them. It is only Satan trying to depress us and God has proven to me that when I need him, he is always there, if I'll let him help me. He is trustworthy. If he wasn't, I would not have followed him for the last 50 years. He's definitely someone we can depend on. Keep the faith, brother. Never Back Down When God is backing you up, and never give up. God never gives up on us. I love you brother.
