I cried for the first time in seven years

I grew up with parents who would scold me for showing any emotions, positive or negative. I have fun: "You need to set the example!". I get upset over anything "Grow up! You have it easy compared to [long story]". The only way out was simply to turn off my emotions. Additionally, I was put on medicine multiple times that made me feel even more emotionally numb. Months after moving out and quitting my medicine, I have started to feel happy and sad again. The other night I was listening to Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and I shed a few tears. It was only a few, but that is still more than the past seven years combined. Hopefully I will keep growing from here!

Show ur emotions or they will suffocate u from inside...I have been there, actually still am... it hurts but its worth working on. Way to go馃憤
I鈥檓 sorry you were treated that way. It鈥檚 not a healthy way to raise children.

It's my grandmothers opinion, that emotions are weakness. She has no respect for anyone who shows the slightest bit of emotion
@pride49 Her and the palace would get along well.
