I'm genuinely trying to figure out why people hate on homeless people so much

I mean like,
I hear people say because they're addicts, deadbeats etc...

But that's not necessarily true,
I've heard of people being homeless and they were none of those things,
They just happened to fall upon tough times dues to a really bad turn of events ;/

I would love to agree with you but the facts are on the other side. The fact is that there are no homeless people. People may not live in houses or other permanent residences but they still have a home whether it is a tent or a cardboard box or even under a bridge or tree. That is their home. Why do they choose to live on the street or under a bridge? Each individual is different but they fit into three broad categories. Drug addiction including alcohol, mental illness sometimes but not always brought on by drug usage and those whose life supports (family, church neighbors) have let them down.
