Awww please don't do that to yourself, if you have problems of your own don't overload yourself with other people's issues 🤗.
You can listen but don't try to help them fix it. I think most people sharing their problem is looking for someone who will listen to them.

@SW-User that's because you're an empath. I am too, we absorb the energy being projected to us by others and that drains us. I used to cry because i felt so bad for not being able to help.
The thing is, i started distancing myself from people including those who are important to me. Then someone told me how hurt she was when i was not around to listen to her. That made me realize i have to learn how to manage my own emotions. Hope you can too 🤗.

@Purplehaze78 I always try to listen and help when I can. It’s not easy controlling the sadness that comes along with not being able to help. I know some people that don’t give a damn and I don’t want to be as cold as them.

@SW-User but remember to take care of yourself first 🤗.

A lot of the times I can listen or try to help others and take a break from mine. Clearing my mind. Giving me a fresh look at them later. Different tactic to or perspective to deal with my own

@SW-User Always try to help anyone I can. If I fail I fail but still wont stop trying. Stopping trying to help makes me feel powerless.
SW-User
You can’t cure diseases or do some things. It’s not all in your hands is what I mean @icedsky
icedsky · 51-55, M
@SW-User I agree many things are far out of my hands.
exexec · 61-69, C
Helping others with their problems also helps me put mine in perspective and I can deal with them better.
exexec · 61-69, C
@SW-User You can always listen to them. I didn't say it was easy.
SW-User
I do listen always @exexec
exexec · 61-69, C
@SW-User Good. That may be the most important thing you can do.
NeoNeo · 46-50, M
I listen and I try to help as much I can. I know often its not enough but then I have to deal with mine as well. Keep doing what I can is all I do.
SW-User
That’s what I do. I try to be caring even though I can’t do much. @NeoNeo

Problems are too much. Other people having problems adds to the problem scale and eventually it's too much.
SW-User
Exactly @HannahSky
SW-User
Constantly, no. That is too much even when I am not dealing with my own things.
SW-User
I totally agree with you. We can hardly handle our own problems most of the time, @SW-User

It makes you feel like your problems are normal ish

I don’t think. I think it helps to hear about others struggles. Helps to know I'm not alone in my suffering.
SW-User
@Bang5luts i guess I feel the same way.
And I feel I'm easing someone else a bit while listening to them

@SW-User I feel as though my experiences or at minimum my struggles help others as well..
SW-User
I don't mind it.
Depends on your way of dealing with Life and people around.
Being empathetic towards needy adds to one's peace of mind, let all think straight in tough times resultantly strengthens the one.
