My family dynamic.

My grandfather was nine years old when he found himself homeless and orphaned by the Russian army attacking K枚nigsburg, and walking across the North German plain towards Berlin, and on from there over a hundred kilometres West of the capital. Like so many others, a barn was a roof against the elements.

Meeting a displaced family, who's farmhouse had been shelled, he joined with them from his first accompanying group to continue West towards the Dutch ports where they were able to find steerage aboard a merchant ship out of Montevideo.

This was the first stop on their journey to the German enclaves in the republic of Paraguay, seen by the farmer as the best refuge for them. The wonder was how twelve years later he married the farmer's only surviving daughter, Emma, my grandmother.

Settling to a derelict farm in Cordillera Province maybe one hundred kilometres from Asen莽ion, was the beginning of his redemption from the horrors of the war in Europe, and he and Emma were blessed with two sons and a daughter. The farmer left the farm to his daughter, which is how it came into our family directly.

Ok so this "displaced family" that he joined who's farmhouse had been shelled, did they adopt him?

And how did the farmer decide the German enclaves in the republic of Paraguay was the best refuge for them?

So basically your grandfather met your grandmother by pure chance?
