Alone on Christmas

I am triple vaxed and asymtpmatic but I was in the hospital a few days ago so they gave me a covid test. Last night they called me back and I’m positive so I can’t see my family :(

I am so sorry, dear. You be sure to skype your family and spend as much of the holiday with them over your phone or laptop as possible, AND make plans for a SECOND get together as soon as you are no longer positive. I would also arrange to have a second test, because the covid quick tests sometimes come back with false positives.

My plans were cancelled for today also, half due to a Covid scare and half due to the weather. (Supposed to snow and rain and be lousy driving conditions). I am having my "celebration" on Monday, instead.

That is a crying shame. I have heard many, including myself, are spending Christmas alone. Listen to some nice music and watch a movie and try to enjoy some time to yourself.

Get well soon! I'm alone at Christmas too because I've done a Houdini act and escaped my family hurrah!

That's been my Christmas last year, although I wasn't isolating alone. Hopefully you can still get to see everyone once you negativize?
That's terribly sad. I'm becoming sad with this world, not about protecting people, or what harm can come, I've really heard that story, and its a disease that affects everyone different, some seem to think it's a simple switch, when it's not. I hope you are healthy.
