What's been one of the lowest points of your life, so far?

Probably my junior year of college 2008-2009. I was taking advanced nursing courses which were hell, getting 2-3 hours of sleep a night, drinking crazy amounts of coffee and energy drinks to keep myself awake, and just not taking care of myself. Oh yeah, and it was the middle of the Great Recession.

If it wasn't for my parents and my awesome roommates, I probably would dropped out of school.

March of 1962 to September of 1966 traipsing through the jungles of Vietnam, only to come home to being spit at, called vile names, and hit with rotten fruit and eggs by the wonderful people of America.

@Ryansgrampy I am so sorry. I can't even begin to imagine what that must have been like, after going through the hell known as war.

@Rose0415 Thank you.
@Ryansgrampy I never condoned the way you were treated when you came back from one hell to another. I wonder if you know the cause of much of that hatred

@Ryansgrampy Thank you for serving our nation.
@Ryansgrampy That's BS. You risked your life for nothing & get dissed when you come back. I really feel for you.
@Ryansgrampy I’m sorry that people behaved so ignorantly towards you when you returned. I remember my father (who served in Korea) telling me that even if people disagreed with the war, the soldiers risking their lives deserved everyone’s respect and gratitude. 😞

@Ryansgrampy That was shocking. Totally misdirected anger. You should have been welcomed home ❤️
@Ryansgrampy felt bad for you until i saw the pictures of what seemed to be a vulnerable elderly that is exploited and harassed sexually. Youre sick
