I am very sensitive

I have always been a very sense person. Even as a small child I cried very easily. I never really felt validated and to this day I get told to stop crying. It’s like telling me not to feel . It hurts like no one could imagine to be told not to feel. I recall when my father died and I called someone I thought cared and he told me to suck it up and be strong. All I wanted was comfort . Please remember when you see someone sobbing uncontrollably they are truly in pain ignoring it or telling them to stop only makes the pain worse. Remember to be kind to someone who is suffering emotionally.

I know exactly how you feel. I wound up ignoring my emotions for such a long time that it turned me into a cold hearted person. Full of malice and distrust. It's better to have raw emotions than be the person I used to be.

@Sassygirl42 Cry it out. Cry it out, have a good drink of water, maybe have a bath or a shower after. You'll feel better.

For some people, emotions don't subside so easily. Sometimes if the pain from anger and sadness is not released then it becomes pent up energy that can have negative effects on one's well being. Just like feeling joy can be released through laughter, sadness can be released through crying.

I can relate to an extent. I was not allowed to cry growing up. My mother forbade it. I couldn’t cry watching a movie or if I got hurt or if I was upset. She would call me a big baby and tell me that I had to pretend I was a rock and had no feelings. I cannot cry as an adult.

I am sorry about that. Everyone needs to release their emotions. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
