I Am Depressed More Than People Realize

I'm getting to the point where I just want to shout it from the rooftops but I don't want to bother anyone with it. Lately I've been just sending messages to people and seeing how they are which is something I don't usually do. Problem is people are busy and I don't want to just come out and say how I'm feeling because it will put them in a difficult situation but I also know that a lot of people who have also randomly sent messages to friends have then taken their lives quite soon after and they regret not taking the time out of their busy workload to message back.
Sometimes we just have to do things that could be a bother to someone because we do not want to have those regrets after. I don't see anything wrong with that, as long as you don't force anyone to do something that they don't want to do.

I feel that I'm already forcing them to communicate with me let alone bring up anything that could be distressing, they could go further away and I'll feel worse....The regrets maybe just something that hindsight gives but people react differently when they are experiencing something
@Zelllambert: *hugs* I feel you.

@Zelllambert: even if you feel like u r forcing them to talk to you, you have every right to do so. If they are your friends then they should understand your situation. I have lost a friend to depression and I know exactly what your are talking about. Obviously not everyone can understand how you are really feeling. It's hard to relate to something when you didn't have any experience with that thing. So talk to those people who you think are more inclined to support you. I hope things get better for you.

Its difficult, but you definately need to talk to someone. How about face to face with a freind you trust, over a coffee? I wouldn't do anything on text...it's too easy to misconstrue.

I only have one friend I can speak face to face and everytime I tell him that I'm feeling depressed he says that I'll be fine in a few days, I need someone else to speak to with a different point of view

Messaging others to see how they are... I'll ask you... how are you?

Not good it seems. It's not even like anything bad has happened to even be depressed about
