My husband is in detox and wanted to kill himself last night.

The time apart thing is a relief but it hurts. I love him so much. I'll keep you updated. 🙂

@nedkelly: he started doing drugs because of depression that didn't get attended to. There is an underlying factor that drives him to numb. Everyone is capable of being selfish. He has worked long hard hours to maintain a roof over our head. He is not a selfish bastard. He is my husband, a father, someone's brother, someone's child, an uncle, and he put his addictIon second to us, because he was ashamed and in denial. He never once left for a night or days on end just to use. If I needed something he would help. He would sacrifice his sleep to let me get extra hours of sleep while he got the kids up in the morning (worked overnights). you jump to an assumption as if you know him. You do not.

I know too many ppl that already od this year. Many were winning their battles until they thought they could handle it,,, twice in one month two ppl died of heroin od.
