Why do people get so butthurt about being put in the "friendzone"?

As someone who has both been friendzoned and has friendzoned others I can confidentially say, just because you're nice to someone doesn't mean they're obligated to have feelings for you. Just because you have feelings for someone who made it clear that they're just your friend, doesn't mean you can force them to reciprocate. Get over it and move on.

Guys are generally groomed to be ignored. We don't really hear compliments. We don't get pats on the back. Nobody will listen if we're hurting. We go through life believing no one gives a damn about us. Whenever a girl shows attention or shows that she cares, that can mean the world to a guy that otherwise would never feel that. That's why it hurts when guys subsequently get rejected. It's basically disregarding some of the best feelings they've ever had. It may not have been the intention, but that's what the result is.

Girls are used to attention and compliments and interest. It tends to happen all the time for them. That's why being friendzoned doesn't suck as much for girls. You know that it's only a matter of time before someone else makes you feel nice.

You're absolutely right!!! I honestly do not understand why someone would want to be with another person who does not feel the same about them to even begin with!

I think your right. Sometimes it's just not there on that level for that person at the time. You can't force romantic feelings for another person. It could be that thar person isn't ready for that kind of relationship. For me I'm just a nice person I like to stay positive doesn't mean I want to have relationships with everyone. But at the same time sometimes I'd rather have that friendship background and than build a romatic one if there's feelings. If that makes any sense just feels stronger

Better to be in the friendzone than in the enemyzone!!! :O

That's the attitude.

It's no biggie honestly.. Sometimes people want you to leave them alone altogether and people should respect that if they can..

i dont wanna bang many ppl so it sucks when they dont wanna bang me back
NaturallyPeculiar · 26-30, F
It sucks, but there's no use getting angry about it. It happens. You move on and find other people who do want to bang you lol

Probably they're trying to get laid.
NaturallyPeculiar · 26-30, F
Most likely, but still.

@Lolco-: I mean it goes both ways. Some get obsessed over the person not having feelings for them and others get mad because they person won't sleep with them. It just depends on the person's motive I guess.

Oh I don't know about that stuff. I'd rather be friends with someone first either way.

I never understood it either. I don't have many close friends. But I cherish the friendships I do have.

Yes, you're right, in all respects.
