Remember when the Republicans thought Obama was a terrorist, now how funny is that ?

Im still waiting for Obama to show us that hes a coldhearted, unpatriotic, tyrannical, terrorist. Holy cow. 2016 was much better than the year 2008, the last time I checked. I mean, this election will prove to us once and for all that the Democrats are better at economics, than the Republicans. Can I get an amen. 🙂

I will take that as a compliment who thinks Clinton and Obama always tell the truth. Please block me and prove your lack of education.
SW-User
@MasterLee: He is actually highly educated =) You should stop assuming. Although I would LOVE to hear your educational background...
SW-User
You would think they would get tired of being wrong. They still have their guns, there are no internment camps, Sharia law has not taken over, and Jade Helm was just a military exercise...
@Alien-Zipper: In 2016, the Republicans are the ones running a White supremacist as their candidate. The "brush stroke" fits.
AlienZipper · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard: No it doesn't. It would only work if ALL Republicans support him, which they clearly DO NOT. Try again. Stop trying to label all Republicans as a seamless whole.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Alien-Zipper: Republicans don't know how to communicate with people of color. They represent this homogeneous ideology and culture. Its xenophobic. Its intolerant. Its ignorance simple and plain. The Dems aren't racist. They are very much more inclined with Blacks and Hispanics, too.

Republicans never thought that creep was a terrorist. Why do you people insist on spreading lies. Is lying just so ingrained in your DNA that you can't function without lying? No wonder your candidate for president is the biggest liar this country ever produced. Assuming she wasn't hatched by aliens.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
Yawns.....
katielass · F
@Zonuss: Go ahead and yawn if it makes living in denial easier. You guys do like things easy. But remember, for the past 8 years more than 70% of the country says we're headed in the wrong direction. Now, half the country knows what is needed to change direction, but your half just doesn't seem to get it. I think you should change hour party mascot from ass toa pic of he hildebeast, u know, liar
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Katielass: When Hillary wins this next election...I truly do hope you will be here on this site that day. I cannot wait. Because you are not even close to knowing what the truth is about politics dear. 🙂

Delusions? Hallucinations? Dropped on your head?
AlienZipper · 61-69, M
You're making it sound like everyone who is a Republican thought he was a terrorist. That's not and never has been true. Try being a little more specific in wording your statements next time.

Typical Democrat behavior .... it's like when you call attention to the crime rate in Chicago and they respond by calling you a racist. Besides, all that crime in Chicago is your fault for not paying enough taxes :)
SW-User
@Heartlander: Huh. Sorta like the Republican response when you point out that crime in NYC has dropped AFTER they got rid of stop and frisk? =)
ladycae · 100+, F
if you look at the last 50 years of history, every democrat the economy gets better, every republican the economy goes into the toilet. nay say all you want but history does not lie
Heartlander · 80-89, M
Not so .... Although I liked Truman, after the war, his economic policies tried to send America back into the pre-war depression. Eisenhower to the rescue. LBJ had us busy beating up on one another and Nixon gave us a breather for a while. But then that Carter guy seemed more hell-bent on taking America to hell (economically and otherwise) than anything else. Regan to the rescue, and Regan and Bush-1 were great for the economy, except they helped create the SNL debacle. Of course the Clintons didn't miss a chance to help themselves to the easy money exposed by Regan, via Madison Guarantee.

The Clintons and their wall street friends knew how to create bubbles, and it looked good for a while, but unfortunately bubbles tend to crash faster than they inflate ... i.e. the dot-com and the real estate hyper-inflation. When I do the math and and subtract where I started (pre-clinton) from where I ended up (post-Clinton) and then tilt the graph to adjust for inflation, I find myself worse off after Clinton than before. But still, I'm far better off than my friends who invested in Sprint and EnRon ... or were employed by them.

I then put Bush and Obama about equal. Neither very inspiring, economically speaking. All Bush's economic incentives accomplished was to enrich Korean TV manufacturers, and all Obama's "shovel ready" and "clunker buyback" programs did was to out him as a clueless politician.

Haaa .... since the Carter name came up it reminds me of an interesting story.

Carter holds the record for the most four-letter words strung together that I ever heard when someone was making reference to a former president of the US.

I was in a barber shop waiting my turn and the conversation turned to the olympics. And WOW! this guy like ignited and took the floor for 10 full minutes insulting former President Carter. Poor thing. He was an olympic athlete, a world class runner .... and had been preparing for years and years to perform in the 1980 Olympics .. the one Carter decided America should boycott. Talk about a president who crapped on the American people. At that, Carter was the best!

Amen? NO.

The crash of 2008/2009 was almost single handedly caused by Barney Frank and his manipulation of FNMA/GNMA. Mortgage backed securities were pushed on the banks bearing the good faith of the US Government. When it was discovered that they were really junk bonds the entire US economy almost collapsed. To cover the shortfall caused by the collapse of those junk bonds, banks had to call in their business loans and curtail lending to businesses. That's when American workers lost their jobs.

:) Being gay is probably the nicest thing one can say about him.

Otherwise he belongs on the same list as Bernard Madoff.

@Katielass: On this subject, the Big Short is a great movie! Great depiction of how those "bubbles" are so difficult to break. But when they do ...

.

As I recall from the political spin at the time, team Obama tried to blame it on "hedge fund" managers and investors. That's like saying the doctor that accurately diagnoses your ailment is responsible for why you have the ailment :)

The hedge fund people get credit for discovering the great discrepancy between what the investment bankers (salesmen) claimed they were worth Vs what they actually were worth.
I do actually. That was my uncle's fear as well. I remember how anti Obama he was. I still don't know if he's a republican or a democrat. I never asked.
