Remember when the Republicans thought Obama was a terrorist, now how funny is that ?

Im still waiting for Obama to show us that hes a coldhearted, unpatriotic, tyrannical, terrorist. Holy cow. 2016 was much better than the year 2008, the last time I checked. I mean, this election will prove to us once and for all that the Democrats are better at economics, than the Republicans. Can I get an amen. 馃檪

Amen? NO.

The crash of 2008/2009 was almost single handedly caused by Barney Frank and his manipulation of FNMA/GNMA. Mortgage backed securities were pushed on the banks bearing the good faith of the US Government. When it was discovered that they were really junk bonds the entire US economy almost collapsed. To cover the shortfall caused by the collapse of those junk bonds, banks had to call in their business loans and curtail lending to businesses. That's when American workers lost their jobs.

:) Being gay is probably the nicest thing one can say about him.

Otherwise he belongs on the same list as Bernard Madoff.

@Katielass: On this subject, the Big Short is a great movie! Great depiction of how those "bubbles" are so difficult to break. But when they do ...

As I recall from the political spin at the time, team Obama tried to blame it on "hedge fund" managers and investors. That's like saying the doctor that accurately diagnoses your ailment is responsible for why you have the ailment :)

The hedge fund people get credit for discovering the great discrepancy between what the investment bankers (salesmen) claimed they were worth Vs what they actually were worth.
