Remember when the Republicans thought Obama was a terrorist, now how funny is that ?

Im still waiting for Obama to show us that hes a coldhearted, unpatriotic, tyrannical, terrorist. Holy cow. 2016 was much better than the year 2008, the last time I checked. I mean, this election will prove to us once and for all that the Democrats are better at economics, than the Republicans. Can I get an amen. 馃檪

Not so .... Although I liked Truman, after the war, his economic policies tried to send America back into the pre-war depression. Eisenhower to the rescue. LBJ had us busy beating up on one another and Nixon gave us a breather for a while. But then that Carter guy seemed more hell-bent on taking America to hell (economically and otherwise) than anything else. Regan to the rescue, and Regan and Bush-1 were great for the economy, except they helped create the SNL debacle. Of course the Clintons didn't miss a chance to help themselves to the easy money exposed by Regan, via Madison Guarantee.

The Clintons and their wall street friends knew how to create bubbles, and it looked good for a while, but unfortunately bubbles tend to crash faster than they inflate ... i.e. the dot-com and the real estate hyper-inflation. When I do the math and and subtract where I started (pre-clinton) from where I ended up (post-Clinton) and then tilt the graph to adjust for inflation, I find myself worse off after Clinton than before. But still, I'm far better off than my friends who invested in Sprint and EnRon ... or were employed by them.

I then put Bush and Obama about equal. Neither very inspiring, economically speaking. All Bush's economic incentives accomplished was to enrich Korean TV manufacturers, and all Obama's "shovel ready" and "clunker buyback" programs did was to out him as a clueless politician.

Haaa .... since the Carter name came up it reminds me of an interesting story.

Carter holds the record for the most four-letter words strung together that I ever heard when someone was making reference to a former president of the US.

I was in a barber shop waiting my turn and the conversation turned to the olympics. And WOW! this guy like ignited and took the floor for 10 full minutes insulting former President Carter. Poor thing. He was an olympic athlete, a world class runner .... and had been preparing for years and years to perform in the 1980 Olympics .. the one Carter decided America should boycott. Talk about a president who crapped on the American people. At that, Carter was the best!
