Why was Christopher Columbus worried about Y2K

Not the start of a bad joke, I'm really asking. Just because he accidentally named native americans the same thing as the eastern Indians doesn't mean their computers—even all the way back in 1492—couldn't handle the data.

I think the real thing people will need to worry about is when the computers have to calculate dates after the year 1999.

And when they have to process all that paperwork after Europe keeps discovering new continents every other decade, that's the real strain on their processors.

so absolutely anything became a high crime punishable by death... unless you wanted to take a little boat trip and colonise a new land... wink wink...
