I used to be obsessed with the sport between 1998 to around 2005

Nope. I have never seen snow.

Sand boarding is the closest I think.

I have tried boogie boarding and Surfing but I had the uncomfortable feeling of being a horderves for a shark.

Transworld Magazine got me hooked on it.

I had a misguided notion you could switch from skis to snowboard, no lesson included.
