My wife and I travelled with our daughter and the team she trains with to watch the Premiership Womens Rugby final at Exeter yesterday. Really great day out, with loads of activities and atractions to keep the young fans engaged. Our 13 year old did some wall climbing and drills with the Royal Marines, which should come in handy for when she is conscripted 🙃 She was also part of a guard of honour to welcome the teams onto the pitch. She nearly took out the eye of the Gloucester captain with her enthusiastic flag waving 😅
The game was pretty exciting, although Gloucester ran away with it at the end. Both teams are local to us, so we had no particular preference. The atmosphere was really friendly, with not too much alcohol as there would be for a mens match. The girls were all having a whale of a time and really made the event special.
Daughter and many of her friends were fast asleep for most of the coach trip back home, which was a nice peaceful way to end the day 😌
