Bristol Bears v Gloucester-Hartpury

My wife and I travelled with our daughter and the team she trains with to watch the Premiership Womens Rugby final at Exeter yesterday. Really great day out, with loads of activities and atractions to keep the young fans engaged. Our 13 year old did some wall climbing and drills with the Royal Marines, which should come in handy for when she is conscripted 🙃 She was also part of a guard of honour to welcome the teams onto the pitch. She nearly took out the eye of the Gloucester captain with her enthusiastic flag waving 😅

The game was pretty exciting, although Gloucester ran away with it at the end. Both teams are local to us, so we had no particular preference. The atmosphere was really friendly, with not too much alcohol as there would be for a mens match. The girls were all having a whale of a time and really made the event special.

Daughter and many of her friends were fast asleep for most of the coach trip back home, which was a nice peaceful way to end the day 😌

I'm super glad you all enjoyed yourselves and I am happy your special girl had lots of fun! 🤗🤗🤗 I hope though she isn't forced into conscription when she is older against her will! 😭😭😭 I know for sure her future is gonna be awesome! 🥰🥰🥰 Anyway, seems like an awesome family day out for the three of you which is awesome for sure! 💖💖💖

My local team. Always a good well organised day there.

The size of rugby crowds in the UK amaze me. Do wish had crowds like that in New Zealand. For Super Rugby and NPC.

@Wizardry It wasn't sold out, but good numbers for womens rugby which is only semi-professional. There are three first class teams located close together in south-west England and not much competition from other sports, so a lot of local support.

@SunshineGirl we are pretty much the same in New Zealand for women’s rugby. Slowly turning professional for women’s rugby.
