Can Spurs win the Premiership?

This is the best Spurs team that I can remember. I think they will fall just short but today's result makes it interesting

There aren't many things i wish for.
But having been a supporter since '72.
I would just LOVE to see us win at least ONE league title in my lifetime.
There are some great players in that side but even with a Chelsea hiccup like today, can't see us overtaking them.
I don't know which is worse to be honest !
Knowing that you'll never be good enough (a la EVERY manager since Bill Nicholson !)Or getting SO close and STILL not having enough !!

@Picklebobble2: I think they have made huge profist tbh by taking so much out of the club so maybe their model has worked. Long term, the 'brand' has been damaged though.

I think the point is that they should never have been allowed to take over using so much leverage against the club. Its basically a loan of 75% from Man Utd to the Glazers to help them buy it. I'm no Utd fan but it annoyed me.

@nedkelly: Yes they have fallen into a cycle of short term-ism and their recent transfer policy has been abysmal. Even when they do get a good player, they pay over the odds. Whoever the sporting director is who has Okayed all this should be fired. I think Utd should stick with Mourinho though because things have improved a bit.
@Burnley123: this model has been a long time coming.

Much as it grieves me, as a Gooner, to say so, I think the answer is yes, they could. A fine manager, who makes the team more than the sum of its parts, unlike others I could mention ...

24 points to play for and they need to take four more than Chelsea (if their goal difference remains superior). It's possible but, like you, I think it's a shade too much. If they were three points behind, rather than four, I'd give them a much better chance.

Yeah I think that Chelsea are still playing well enough to just do it. It makes it interesting though and you guys can dare to dream.
I darent even hope, but this is fantastic. Our home record, with two home games left have seen us undefeated. So many records.
If we do, I'll dye my hair blue.

I'm interested in what you think of Keiran Trippier. He is ex-Burnley and seems to play well for you. He seems unlickky to have Kyle Walker at the same club.

@Burnley123: Very good player. it's unfortunate that because of the fitness levels of the guys in front of him, he perhaps hasn't had as many opportunities to get game time.
@Burnley123: he played so well against Watford, it's tough for the players to be rotated in this way but I really like him.

burnley123 no not unless Chelsea throw it away but saying that it has happened before
It's for Chelsea to slip up, I agree
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Well Man Utd have given them a lifeline, but I believe they will finish 2 or 3

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
May be a misprint.
Perhaps he meant 'Wanderers'.
spurs fans have taken to calling arsenal the Woolwich wanderers'.
