From the world of sports: whose autograph would you like to have and on what object?

Jim Thorpe (on a worn jersey)

nedkelly · 61-69, M
Sir Donald Bradman - cricket bat
@nedkelly

Very Very impressive. What I meant was, I didn't know people outside the British Isles were ever knighted. I'm not aware of any Canadian to have been honored this way. (Just googled this and found out we do have at least one Canadian who was knighted) - - Sir Frederick Banting, the Canadian medical doctor who co-won the Nobel Prize for Medicine for the discovery of insulin. His knighthood was awarded by King George V in 1934.

From the little I've read about him - starting today - I gathered very quickly how great a legend he was. and always will be.

@luckranger71

Legends! Did you ever see my favorite play? Gale Sayers?
(I'm thinking he may have been before your time... )

@rinkydinkydoink
No. Too young. My dad did. I saw these two. Couldn’t quite get Sweetness’s autograph at training camp in 1987.
@luckranger71

Oh man! Sad about missing out on your not getting Payton's autograph.
Jordan’s signed jersey, Bulls and UNC.

1. Jerry Rice on any of the many TD footballs he carried in.

or

2. Emmitt Smith on a jersey.
@Ontheroad

Great, great choices. If I'm not mistaken Rice supplanted Jim Brown as the greatest NFL player of all time in at least one survey.
Ontheroad · M
@rinkydinkydoink at the time of his retirement he held almost every career receiving record. Both he and Emmitt are legends and both had the hearts of a lion.
@Ontheroad

Both were down to Earth as well. No swelled heads there.
Lilymoon · F
He's retired now but I would have loved Mats Sundin's autograph on a jersey.

@Lilymoon

A class act, too. Same for the late Börje Salming

Teslin · M
@rinkydinkydoink That's why I noted "and". But beggars can't be choosey LOL
@Teslin

He must've been involved in track as well...! Maybe we'll throw in a pair of autograph sprinters' shoes forya :D
Christiano Ronaldo on a million pound note.
@Mindfulness

Ha! You want your cake and eat it too.
So - - which would be more important to you?
@rinkydinkydoink Show me the money!!
Aysel · F
O.J. Simpson prior to his death, of course.
@Aysel

He was HUGE in college ball, too.
