no,, it is not on the level of professional athletes little discipline, not real struggles.
any worm blooded primate with time and a console can do this
I have watched a little,, for performance tips
it IS an achievement, but not on the level of pro or Olympic athletes
@SatyrService

So...then why isn't anyone with time and a console competing on this level?

lol come on. That's like saying anyone with a hockey stick and some time can play in the NHL.

So it's not physically demanding in the way that professionally sports are.
It's still a game being played at a level you or i could never hope to match. The professionals are not just picking up a controller and going. They train and practice every bit as much as athletes. They're just not doing it on the field.

So what's the difference?
@Pikachu the difference is real sport requires real suffering and discipline
those good at games have a lot of free time to get good, and no other requirement than lots of time and some fast twitch reflexes. common in the very young
one may note that those good at say Game COmbat? well those skills do not translate to real life
@SatyrService

I'm not sure on what basis you assert that gaming at a professional level doesn't require "real" suffering and discipline.

You say those who are good at games have a lot of free time to get good...well what do you think pro athletes are doing besides training for their sport?
They start as talented amateurs playing in their free time and then at a certain level they are able to concentrate their time and energy into playing at the top level.

So what's the difference?
@Pikachu the difference, is clear, if one have experience in Real World Effort video Skate board is not as hard as Real Skate board
games are finite,, real world has many more conditions to deal with
a more complex set of rules.

it is much easier to succeed in a vid game than on the field
like i said SUFFERING and DISCIPLINE
no one gets hurt trying to best some game level so there is not the same intensity of
I am sorry if this offends.. but I have done a lot of both and tho no vid game master. they are but analogues of the real thing
@SatyrService
Real World Effort video Skate board is not as hard as Real Skate board
And soccer isn't as hard as MMA.
So what?

You appear to be arguing that playing video games does not require the same things as playing sports.
Lol well no shit, it's a different kind of game.
You keep repeating SUFFERING and DISCIPLINE as if that's an argument. But the fact is that to compete at a professional level in gaming there is also SUFFERING and DISCIPLINE lol.
Actual physical injuries and the discipline to practice, practice, practice.

So what's the difference?

But the point is that you're either watching people chase a ball around with skill that you could never achieve or you're watching people play a shooter game with skill that you could never achieve.

So what's the difference?
