Remembrance Day is always complicated when you have grandfathers who fought on the opposing teams.

They’re frail old men who would probably still kill each other if there was enough alcohol in the mix.

One grandfather flew with bomber command and hit the third Reich hard from a mile up in feeezing cold airplanes.

The other invaded France, Greece and then killed more Russians than the Ukraine and didn’t quit until he had enough lead in him to become a human pencil and was captured in a hospital bed.

{@arcticdave] it is really bygones to be bygones there has been a lot of water gone unnder the bridge .war is horrible nobody can deny that but old hatred to be fuelled by excessive alcohol

@smiler2012 One can’t forgive the other for the friends he lost. The other can’t forgive because of what happened to Dresden.
