Why aren't sports just for fun anymore?

A coach today was screaming and pulling some kids when they weren't doing what he told them. It was pee wee football, it was rough to watch. I mean it's just a game, why can't it just be for fun instead of making those poor kiddos cry? 😕 🤔

As a kid I never found sports fun unless I was on my own, or with just one other person or a group of trusted friends, once adults got involved it was a fucking nightmare. Getting screamed at, dragged to fucking freezing cold morning games. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! The coaches were a nightmare, my parents took it all so seriously, like any of it actually mattered.

@Allelse I sucked at sports but yeah among trusted friends it could be fun.

In school though, I was not picked last in gym, I was never even picked and just had to sneak onto the team that didn't run me off.
