I say no for two reasons.
Firstly, sports are a good thing for athletic fitness and health. Computer games are not.
Secondly, I just think real sports are better to watch.
If you like watching games im not gonna judge but its not fir me.

Well we are talking about the spectator aspect of these games so fitness doesn't really enter into it.
I get ya. And i bet you think some sports are fun to watch and others are unbearably boring.
So that really just means we're talking about a preference in the kind of game you enjoy watching.

@Pikachu If you are looking for justification, you dont need it. Just not my thing.

No it's cool that you don't like it. I don't like watching football.
Like i said, that's just down to personal preference of what games you find exciting to watch
What i'm really doing here is trying to investigate the bias people have against watching pro-level video gaming as a legitimate event in the same way as watching a pro-level sporting event.

@Pikachu Its because pro gaming is associated with geek culture. Im geek enough anyway and but it is what it is.
@Burnley123
Oh for sure. I know why there's a bias. I'm just trying to get people to think about it.
That pretty much sums up all i do here on SW lol
