As a kid, were you into this - "outdoors" or were you into some kind of puzzle/ brainy stuff?

When I was a kid I spent almost all my free time outdoors, unless it was winter. My mothers usual instructions to me were, "Go outside and play." If I couldn't for whatever reason, it was, "Go read." The main message was, "Go."

We had to be outdoorsy. Mother didn't like us being in the house. Then when I got older I stayed in my bedroom mostly. Doing puzzles in books. And reading a lot too. I still love reading.

I was outdoors but not in the sports way.
Out in the bush, Mountain climbing, camping, fishing, Canoeing, Building Cubby Houses, raft building, Hiking, catching Snakes

Outdoor definitely. Running around playing at the local park and getting filthy. Injuried from time to time.

I was into outdoor sports, but was also into puzzles.....now, in my 60s, I still play tennis and do crosswords.

Both. I love being outside but I'm not sporty and I am good at riddles and puzzles.
