The problem with the world.

What gets me is how life is so competitive. Matter vs. Antimatter, good vs evil, democrats vs republicans, vikings vs the Packers, us vs them... our God is jealous God. Why can't everyone just get along?

At some point a civilized organism should know how to control itself so that there is enough for everyone and it's shared equally. Why must there be a trillion aire? What does one have to do to make that much? You can bet that they are not digging basements by hand, working as a CNA, or detasseling corn.

Greed and power. That's the problem and it starts at the top. Our jealous God. If you want respect you have to earn it. God, you're not so perfect. Time to grow up.

"Why is life so competitive? Why can't we get along?"

"Hey, how come he has more than me?"

The turnaround on that is truly astonishing

I seem to think it's more the simple difference between self and community/us/nation/world.

I'm by no means perfect, but I strongly believe if each individual tries to act in the best interest of the whole instead of the self, then it would be a better world.

The reason why we cannot get along is because people are people... We have been this way for a very long time and from all indications we are going to be this way for the foreseeable future..

The frustration and curse of being human is being able to think of peace as a idealistic reality but never being able to achieve it in human history because of our faulty nature..

Oh here is some appropriate topic theme music 😁

The problem is that we’re hard wired to see groups of “us” and groups of “them”, and it’s baseline programming to mistrust and even outright hate “them”. It’s how we as a species survived to today, even if today it’s more of a hindrance than a help 🤷‍♂

I know..it's very frustrating day in and day out that most people's minds see us vs. THEM. Byron Katie, a phenomenal author wrote, When I look at you, I'm looking in a mirror. There's no separation in reality, from anything or anyone, yet our little minds don't often realize that.

i always think arguing about a complex matter is moot
by virtue of the fact it's fucking complicated
