@Fukfacewillie It's about truth, not how it makes you feel. I don't necessarily believe he walks away. Just that he doesn't wish to control every aspect of your life as religions suggest.

@Rolexeo Sort of deism light. I maintain its all about feelings because truth leads to atheism.

@Fukfacewillie Absolutely not, atheism is nonsense lol

What about agnostics & spiritualist? Lumped in with "nones"?

There's a very quiet but strong social prejudice in America against atheists -- including by other atheists. And I think a lot of people literally fit the definition of atheists but don't want to be associated with us.

@BlueVeins I finally convinced my wife she was, in fact, an atheist. She grew up an ethnic Italian Catholic.
After about 15 I never saw much of an option except atheism. 🤷🏼♂. All the other options were absurd.

The number is certainly higher. Many won't admit it for various reasons.

Yep, never known a none to disappoint. You should move over here. Plenty of nihilists. But then again, can one really count on what the people say outside of the polling booth though?
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
@GeretJan Where are you? Not so much a nihilist, but they appreciate coffee like I do.
GeretJan ·
@Fukfacewillie Belgium. It's a RC country on the quiet. The nihilists have the loudest voice at any time. Somehow they once argued that humanism is the same as being atheist. What religion did Eramus of Rotterdam have then, I asked him. They never heard of Christian humanism before. The most radical are always the non-thinkers.
