@LadyGrace the sun and Earth and the moon align. As the moon moved through the shadow of the Earth. God has nothing to do with that
@smileylovesgaming God has everything to do with the stars and moon and planets all being and staying aligned. He is our Divine Creator and keeps the cosmos in order. Without his divine intervention, and we were to get off track by one, to a few degrees, we couldn't survive this planet. We need to give God credit where credit is due. Celestial bodies are part of God's creation and serve a purpose.
The Bible states that God created these bodies for "signs, and for seasons, and for days and years" (Genesis 1:14).
The Bible emphasizes God's power and wisdom in creating and arranging the universe, rather than attributing any power or authority to the stars or planets themselves.
Psalm 8:3: "When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars..."
Isaiah 40:26: "Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing."
