When you know God

When you know God, everything else just sort of falls away…

That just came to me and I felt like I had to write it down.

1 Corinthians 13:9-12
New International Version
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

I want to Know God and be known by God in Love and faith and hope!

When you experience the Love of God, nothing will ever matter anymore.

@zonavar68 It's more like a great sense of letting go, rather than a specific thought of "I don't care". God doesn't make you feel callous or uncaring. He just removes fear and doubt.

@Vengabus You keep refering to God as a male person but you cannot prove that (a) God has any personification as a human or (b) that if God has a human personification that it's a specific identifiable gender.

@zonavar68 it doesn’t matter though does it? Just pick a pronoun for language purposes and go with it. I really can’t imagine that God is too bothered. I could say “they” or just use God as Gods own pronoun (which I have done already multiple times). “He” is traditional and habitual and it doesn’t need to bother you.
[edited to add “ “ around the word He]

You can't 'know' god. God is not a thing in human form. God is a man-made concept to justify all religious cults and 'explain' all that humans do not understand about the known universe.
Vengabus · 36-40
@zonavar68 You don't think love is real?
zonavar68 · 51-55, M
@Vengabus God as Christians purport it (as it is neither male or female in a human sense) to be is not real. God is a 'concept' not an actual 'thing'. It's a manifestation to mask all that humans do no understand.

@zonavar68 I hope you find what you’re looking for.

I had the same feeling when I became an Atheist.
I gained an incredible sense of peace and freedom, releasing of the human spirit.
Vengabus · 36-40
@DocSavage What exactly was it you let go of?
DocSavage · M
@Vengabus
The belief that god was in control, and that I needed to be worthy of his good graces.
Vengabus · 36-40
@DocSavage Yes, neither of those things are true
