Demons are real

Although I have struggled and fallen away from God many times he has not given up on me. Most recently I flirted with Buddhism and God put people on the path to challenge me and steer me back to him. I am human I make mistakes sometimes but one thing I know for sure is demons are real. Whilst I was with the cult I was walking through town with some others in the cult. We encountered a man who was really drunk. I sensed evil around him and something unseen rushed at me and almost bowled me over leaving me confused. That's the first time I felt a demon. About twelve years ago after I left the cult I fell into witchcraft. I was rebelling against God at the time. To start with nothing weird happened until I started doing rituals. One day during one I felt something in the circle with me it brushed against my legs twice. I thought I was imagining it until I went to pack away and one of the candles was a foot outside the circle. It was in a heavy candle holder ad there were no windows open it was very strange. Over the next few years I delved into darker magic and satanism. One day during a ritual I was recording myself on webcam. I started to call on demons and I felt a weird energy feeling go up my arm. I must have blacked out because I woke up on the floor. When I played the recording back there were voices on it. I used wavepad to clear them up. They said 'thanks for letting us in, now we will never leave I was terrified. Things escalated from there. At nights just as I got into bed I would feel something heavy crawl on me. Plus what felt like lots of hands push up under the mattress. It happened every night I was terrified and went both to a psychiatrist and the local priest. The psychiatrist said I did not have anything like schizophrenia just anxiety. The priest blessed my home but it continued. I started to pray every night for months but they did not leave. Whenever it crawled on me at night I could not move not speak. So just called out in my mind Jesus help me and it would retreat. One night I got angry and shouted at it to get off me but it just used its evil energy to force me further into the bed. I asked Jesus for help again and it left me. One night I'd had enough and told them God is watching over me you can't hurt me. It stopped! This would happen for a period of time. But if I missed a few nights prayer they would come back. In the end I would pray every night. It took ten years to get to a point wherein I can sleep without praying but I still try to remember to most nights. Most people involved in the occult experience strange phenomena. They just don't know what they are. My story is true, I really felt these things. Whether you believe it possible is up to you.

So you think that Buddhists are not God’s people too?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Mardrae Define 'God's people" please.
RubiesandButterflies · 51-55, F
@Mardrae I was drawing a distinction between the two seperate paths because Buddhism is clearly not God's path.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Mardrae Buddhists believe that they are God. So to answer your question NO
Mardrae · 61-69, F
Really? I have never heard that before, and before Covid-19, I used to meditate at a Buddhist temple every week. People that say they are God are actually saying that they are IN God, so that makes them a part of God. That’s what I believe as well- that everyone and everything in the world is “ in God”, therefore you can say they are God. @DeluxedEdition

@Mardrae buddhist believe that they are God and everything in life is just a physical form of the inner manifestation of their mind. The point of Buddhism is to reach the point of enlightenment and have served all of your karma once you reach that and done that you no longer have to “reincarnate”

People that say they are God are actually saying that they are IN God, so that makes them a part of God. That’s what I believe as well- that everyone and everything in the world is “ in God”, therefore you can say they are God. @DeluxedEdition

We are not a part of God. God lives in us in our junk dna. God created us we are not the same thing as God. So no you cannot say “we are god” because that is not correct. God lives within us and we are Gods creation.
Mardrae · 61-69, F
@DeluxedEdition you have your beliefs and I have mine. We are each entitled to our own beliefs. Each religion believes they are the one true religion and that’s bullshit. God created everyone, therefore we are all in God. That’s my belief and I’m sticking to it and you are free to believe anything you want.

@DeluxedEdition ‘Buddhism’ isn’t one single religion with one single set of beliefs. There is Mahayana Buddhism, Theravada Buddhism, zen, Linji, lamren, the five ranks and more. The former two don’t even think either are Buddhavacana at all. And they borrow gods from other polytheistic religions. In the west, with its cultural relativism view on religion, many ascribe this warm fuzzy feeling of wholeness with the universe narrative onto Buddhism, which has got nothing to do with Buddhism at all. My source, I currently live in an actual Buddhist society.

@DeluxedEdition I do find it a bit funny how the comfortable and non-afflicted rest so easy in their comfortable religions/beliefs. The name Israel means "He who wrestles with God". We who have a relationship with Him identify as ones who wrestle with God. While we move an breathe and have our being IN Him. We also have a sin nature that can only be replaced by Him with whom we wrestle. Religions like Buddhism, Islam etc do not acknowledge our brokenness and therefore rely on silly rules and practices and in so doing them think they are on the road to perfection. (perfection being a term I use for a generic as each religion has a different goal).

🤣 All religions are man made. @hippyjoe1955
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Mardrae organized religion was created by man yes. including Buddhism
Mardrae · 61-69, F
Exactly. I wasn’t defending Buddhism, I was merely trying to say that ALL people are a part of God. All people, all objects, everything and everyone is in God. @DeluxedEdition
Punches · 46-50, F
@Mardrae All religions and belief systems are just entertainment. Kind of like music, astrology, politics, whatever.

People worship, God, Budda, Allah Ackbar, Donald Trump, and what not. It is all fine but like I said - it is just entertainment.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Punches Nice delusion you have there. What religion told you that all religions are fake?
Mardrae · 61-69, F
No religion did. But what religion told you that yours is the one “ right “ religion? 🤣 @hippyjoe1955
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Mardrae Everyone has a religion including those who think that they are religion free. Religion is simply your world view. You didn't come to your conclusion on your own so you need to look at the source of your religion to figure it out.
Mardrae · 61-69, F
True. Even atheists have a religion. @hippyjoe1955
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Mardrae Absolutely. Religion has nothing to do with God. It has to do with belief. If you believe that there is no God then that is your religion.
Mardrae · 61-69, F
@hippyjoe1955 I do believe in “God” Just not the view that most people in the world have of God. And I don’t follow a religion anymore, although I am Jewish.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Mardrae IOW you believe in some sort of thing beyond yourself that you don't know or understand or even want to think about.
Mardrae · 61-69, F
@hippyjoe1955 I didn’t write this, but it pretty much explains my view of what I believe “God” is….

< God is all and everything and so each of us are a part of God. That includes humans and animals, plants, rocks, planets, stars, the universe, and even the monitor you are viewing this on. Everything is a part of God & God is everything. That means we are God... not to be mistaken that you are God, or that you are a God. We are all one and we are part of the whole that makes up God and the whole human race combined is just a small part of God. The whole universe & beyond is God. Every planet and every being... even the space between the space is all part of God.
We are eternally and internally connected to God at all times. We openly communicate with God at all times both internally and externally. When we ask God for something God always delivers because we are all master manifestors creating reality so we can experience and learn and grow. We are God creating these individual experiences and we are constantly co-creating our reality with other beings of God.>
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Mardrae That is called pantheism.
RubiesandButterflies · 51-55, F
@hippyjoe1955 yes that's pantheism
RubiesandButterflies · 51-55, F
@Mardrae everything can't be God. God created everything so things are not God but rather they are God's creation as are we. It is true that God lives within those who are saved. But this is in form of the Holy Spirit who I understand to be a teacher, a guide and a comforter.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@RubiesandButterflies As a created being I did not create myself anymore than my computer monitor assembled itself. There is the Prime Creator known as Yahweh. He is leagues beyond our understanding or comprehension. Given that we now know that the universe had a beginning we need to explain what exists/existed beyond this universe. Again the answer is Yahweh.
