What do you base your beliefs on

Why do so many people base their beliefs on just the bible. And literary? Why would you not take everything into consideration. Logic and feelings. To me it's like trying to cross the lake in a boat but refusing the paddle. 🤣 And then saying the boat's no good 🙄

I think that when people base their entire lives on the words in the Buybull it's because they have no moral compass of their own to guide them. The Buybull like any other book of stories can be a guide, it isn't intended to rule your entire life, nor to guide you to hate others because they are different from you or have different beliefs than you do or love differently than you do.
