"When in doubt, just have faith"

So basically, if you have doubts about your religion, don't do research, ask questions or think about it - just have faith. You know all those questions you have because something doesn't quite add up, something feels a bit off? Don't think about it. Just have faith and everything will magically be okay without you really having to do anything or think for yourself.

There's ALWAYS (which is a big word) an "out" when it comes to religion. And the big ones are "just have faith" and, for Christians, "we're all sinners." It's sort of brilliant.

I wouldn't call it brilliant, though. I think it only seems brilliant when enough people are stupid enough to believe it.

@Redstar Yep. That's another one on the Hit Parade. It's applicable to anything. But I think the brilliance is due to it being predicated by the audience. The writers knew their market.
