I had to tell them to stop bothering me.

I don't mind them. I thank them for whatever they are trying to hand me and send them back off on their way. They are only sharing something they possibly feel strongly about. It's just advertising.

I made the mistake of talking to them once - then they came once a month or so. They even came on Christmas Eve once. Now I don't answer the door

I won't be rude to them but it does annoy me if im approached by anyone for that matter. Especially in the street and announced at my house. Make an apointment or invite me to attend there church. Not in the street.

I'd invite them in for coffee and tea, and ask them to take their shoes off. It'd be interesting to see their attitude change when entering a room full of Muslims who don't mind talking about religion with them.

Like the Mormons ,I let them know I am saved but do not follow the traditions of their belief's ,I let them know I admire their willingness to have people be rude to them and abuse them just for trying to share the love of God ,I thank them for caring about others ,take their watchtower publication ,thank them and bid them a good day ,I know they mean well even if I don't agree with their doctrine

My ex boyfriend would take off his pants before he answered the door and start talking about how awesome the devil is. That way they'd never come back lol

CallmeHopelessNotRomantic, I totally intend to do that next time they come to my door, I'll even get it on video. I'll start chatting with them and get them hopeful they have a potential recruit, excuse myself and take off my pants, then see how they react when I go to the door again. Gotta get that hook in first though.

I'm an atheist and I don't go around insulting anyone's beliefs. Rather than insult a person I try to get them to think and possibly explain to me why their belief is true for them. Hey, who knows? Maybe they're onto something and can lead me to the light.
With JW's coming to my door I feel totally validated in making them feel uncomfortable without actually insulting them. I used to say I wasn't interested and they'd just move on, but that's boring.
