Not afraid to say it. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and His death paid the penalty of our sins so those who accept will go to heaven! [Spirituality & Religion]

Peaceful · F
So I'm not supposed to live by Jesus' example? You know love the sick, ignored, ostracized and mistreated? And help them in every way I can? I just have to believe in him and I'm good to go?

@Caligirl: It means that where there is one mistake in translation, there could be very many more. So how can anyone follow a moral guidebook word for word, and believe every word when it may very well be highly inaccurate.
Raleighmom · 41-45, F
Or it may well be accurate. That's up for you to decide and accept, or reject.
@Peaceful: Heaven. They do not have the capacity to realize they have sins, and are therefore not held accountable.
Be loud. Be proud. Be a raving moron.

Ok, have fun.
Hey don't say something like that around these parks! Especially inside of the section of this website.

People will flood you with, "God is not real, Jesus Christ is this and this and that and the other, Give me 500 hundred answers right now Why God is real?, The bible is a lie and farce and untrue and has many things untrue about it and is made up, and There go those Christians again always making it all about themselves every time, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc."

I agree with you :)

We all have to believe in something.
His life would have been more useful.

Some of that lot reminds me of friend who would casually ask people he probably knew to be not particularly religious,

"Do you think what Jesus preached is a good way to live?" - meaning the humanity, care and consideration for others.

Almost invariably, the other would reply, "I don't believe in God".

My pal said pointing that he had not asked that, usually flummoxed them! And no, he was not a barrister, though he would probably have been good at that. The essential message was, Don't Hurt Others.

"Sin" and "not going to Heaven" are useful ways to alarm people in a generally very religious society; but not believing in them is no excuse to "sin" in the sense of harming other people's lives in some way.

What if I have never sinned?
Raleighmom · 41-45, F
@Mordimoux: your lack of faith is hurting you.
Mordi · 31-35, M
Rude assumption.
Raleighmom · 41-45, F
@Mordimoux: your assumption of me is rude also then?
amen sister. you tell em 😊👍🏼
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Why be afraid to say it? I don't believe in gods, but the OP quote simply states a primary Christian tenet, and is no different from the homilies I see in local church windows or halls.
LoveChild · 26-30, F
You're free to believe that. Enjoy.
Raleighmom · 41-45, F
@LucyRocks: Thanks, not that I needed your permission but it is very nice of you to let me know!😉
LoveChild · 26-30, F
@Caligirl: I never gave my permission. It's the law.
shuhak · M
Very true. Sadly, many refuse His offer.
gurlwatcher22 · 61-69, M
