It started on a full moon.
One night, I felt weird — like my skin was too tight and my throat wanted to croak. Then it happened. My hands shrank, my legs grew strong, and suddenly, I was a frog. A big frog.
Not forever — just during the full moon. Every month, I turn into a were-frog.
It’s not scary… but it’s strange. I can’t stop myself from jumping toward water. I’ve ended up in ponds, birdbaths, even someone’s swimming pool once. When I’m in the water, I feel calm — and smart. Like I know secrets about the world. I don’t know how, I just do.
In the morning, I wake up back to normal, usually wet and confused. No one knows. I still go to work, make tea, and pretend everything is fine.
But deep down, I know I’m not just a regular person anymore.
I’m a were-frog. And every full moon, I leap into a different world.
