If you knew for an absolute fact that none of the people you love made it to heaven, would you still want to go?

If I believed in the existence of heaven then no, I wouldn't want to go if everyone that I cared about was in hell. Assuming that there's no third option like Taco Bell.
@UBotMate I thought Taco Bell WAS the other option.

Been pretty sure I'm going somewhere a little south for awhile. God's will is his will. Doubt I have much choice
faery · 31-35, F
No, I can't see a reason to go
Pretzel · 70-79, M
I'd only know a couple of people there.
Adstar · 56-60, M
Yes i would still want to have eternity with Jesus rather then removed from Jesus..
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@Adstar blocked
Morvoren · F
@Adstar On the face of it, it’s hard to imagine loving anyone more than your parents, your brother and your husband.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Morvoren We dont have eternity with God because of our level of emotional love for God.. We have eternity with God when we believe God and accept the way He made for us to have eternity with Him..

Oh and sometimes there are families on this planet where love does not exist.. You might find that hard to comprehend but it happens..

Edit.. I will also add about Ferise1 blocking me. It's as if people think there is a choice between God and ones family.. You can love both God and your family at the same time.. Most Christians do love both their family and their God at the same time.. But loving someone does not mean they are forced to accept Gods will.. If all the people you love decided to take an overdose of drugs that will kill them that does not mean you have to take the same drugs because you love them.. And it is not some sign of your lack of love for them when you keep yourself alive..
Of course. I'm not going to the other place.

Yes that would probably cement my desire to go
JackHoff · 46-50, M
Have to wave at them.
kimmy159 · F
If the people I love ain't going to heaven, then surely I am not qualified either 😂
Infamous607 · 46-50, M
Yeah! If they didn't go its on them. You snooze you lose.
lol

Not going to happen, but most views of heaven are so childish that I wouldn't base anything on typical representations (& esp. if they come from preachers of the prosperity gospel).
Punches · 46-50, F
@SomeMichGuy They never talk much about what heaven is even like.
Something about streets of gold though. I always thought, why would gold even be needed at that point?
@Punches EXACTLY--thank you! 😊😊😊

And if you notice how Jesus talks about it, He mostly emits "analogies of Heaven": "the Kingdom of Heaven is like <analogy>", etc.

You won’t even know after death who is who? Everyone will be on their paths. Relationships only exists in this death world.
Captain · 61-69, M
oH come on, of course the answers yes. None of us have that bad a taste
Morvoren · F
@Captain Why? What would you do there?
Captain · 61-69, M
@Morvoren I could learnt the harp, play cloud hoppping, play ticket to ride, and go to the beach all day and come home to a nice warm shower. Of course the sun tan oil would be a large drain on my resources.
Captain · 61-69, M
@Morvoren Of course if you weren't there I might have to change my dying arrangements ...
hunkalove · 70-79, M
I doubt many Americans get into Heaven. We aren't a nice bunch of people.
Morvoren · F
RisingMorningStar7 · 36-40, M
@Morvoren because they probably are not who you think they were
Morvoren · F
@RisingMorningStar7 I know them better than I know anyone. And because of love, I am theirs and they are mine.
