Which Is More Inmportant, Truth or Belief?

As I have always said, belief follows Truth and not the other way around. There is no denying the fact that we all have the freedom to believe what we wish but we forget the other side of the coin which sates that, along with freedom come responsibility to believe in the Truth rather than any lies that may come our way. I know that whatever I believe has to line up with the Word of God or it mounts to nothing and I must change it so it will line up with the Word of God.

14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify[i] them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. John 17:14-18

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31 & 32

True repentance means a change of heart and a change of heart means a change of mind. The person, therefore, passes from death to life by receiving Christ as Savior and Lord. They become the person that God created them to be from the very beginning.

This is a beautiful post. Truth is considered more important than belief, as belief does not inherently make something true. The truth exists independently of what people believe about it.

Truth is often seen as objective and independent from subjective opinions or beliefs.

The difference is, beliefs are personal convictions that can vary, depending on individual experiences and perspectives.
Don’t make me choose. 😂😂😂

So we have the freedom to believe what we want as long as it aligns with your interpretation.

@kodiac What he's saying is belief doesn't necessarily make something true. Beliefs are personal convictions that can vary, depending on individual experiences and perspectives. And convictions are based on evidence that's something has taken place, from personal experience, or witnesses. The evidence can include physical evidence, witness testimony, expert opinions, and documents. One then, evaluates the evidence, and makes a decision.

Truth is all that matters. Belief is but a wish. It's just your brain talking to you, mostly from fear.
Beliefs, by nature, cannot be tested. Truth demands to be tested.

Your beliefs are not objective truth.
