I believe God exists solely in the minds of believers. They speak to God and also form appropriate responses. It's the conscience speaking (inner dialogue) and I see nothing wrong with that.

@SW-User there is a philosopher called Cioran, I read a book of him once and he says something like " I don't believe in God but i talk with him sometimes"
