God communicates in different ways

I believe God communicates to us on an individual basis and in different ways. Sometimes through what others say. Sometimes it could be from something we read. Or through a song. His ways are infinite but real. It's in His timing and we have to be open to it

Pop onto my profile I did a post a while back about how God speaks to us
@TheWildEcho Yes. You had a poll asking people how God speaks to them. One choice was "he hasn't spoken to me yet." So the question is, assuming God wants everyone to believe in him, why isn't he "speaking" to everyone in a way they can understand? It's not enough to say "well, he spoke to me through the Bible/rainbows/trees and flowers/etc. so that should be good enough for you." Clearly, whatever way you "hear" God doesn't work for everyone.

Think of it this way. Imagine that you think Shakespeare is the greatest writer ever, so you read his plays to someone who only speaks Chinese. Whose fault is it if he doesn't think Shakespeare is that great? His for not learning English? Shakespeare's for not writing in Chinese? Or yours for not translating?

In the same way, if God wants to transmit knowledge of himself to me, it's on him to figure out a way to do it. It's not my fault if he's essentially talking Chinese and I don't understand him or even know he's talking.

@LeopoldBloom plenty of people on here have explained very eloquently about how to accept Jesus as Lord and Savoir, and all in English, are you telling me you don't understand English? Funny that because you write in English!

Sounds like you are trolling, which doesn't surprise me as you have trolled my previous posts
@TheWildEcho I'm aware of all of the explanations. I'm just saying that none of them have worked for me. Maybe if God himself made a personal appearance to me, that might help.

You keep avoiding the question and engaging in ad hominem, I wonder why?

Totally agree. From flipping your channels in TV or radio, pay close attention to every word. You'll be shocked and amazed.

Yup once I became religious I realized how God communicates with us in the most amazing ways

I can't disagree that the universe sometimes seems to coddle me. My mind can't help but notice patterns emerge and reemerge, and then in turn, associate them with a higher power.

I am trepidatiously agnostic at best, but I feel you.

The beauty of his creation too.
Prayer. Spend time in this, it is hard.

I completely agree with you.

@Gloomy condescending attitude? You are ganging up on him for his belief system!! Stop it and accept people for their own beliefs! Shame on you and Emosaur. Try to treat people the way you want to be treated!!

@Carazaa thanks for the support but it's perfectly fine. They are frustrated because their cliche responses don't work with me. I'm not religious and I believe what science says about nature and the structure of the universe so they do not know how to respond.
Yeah, well, he's been pretty silent for me. Maybe he's decided to throw me away?

@LordShadowfire But you're already a warrior for light, why would God need to petition you?
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@LordShadowfire it's a two-way street
SnailTeeth · 36-40
@Axeroberts I don't think so. When I lost faith, God still petitioned me. I think God makes their presence known during the darkest hours, because that's when it's most needed. I don't think everyone needs to know God, to be considered as God's child.
