What is our Soul made of?

What is the composition of our soul?

Our body is mostly the molecular combination of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen. It is built in the material realm and perishes here. It's like borrowed suit, one we returned at end of the day.

Soul definitely is not of matrial origin and does not perish in this physical realm.

So what do you think is the soul made of?

The soul is the sum of interpreted data we recieve from our environment that forms our personality

Energy but not as we understand energy to be.

Since I believe in the Bible rather than pagan philosophy (Socrates, Plato) I think the soul is made of blood. It definitely is of material origin and does perish in the physical realm. The soul is the life of any breathing creature.

Just as God is a triune (Father, son and holy spirit) I believe we are also a triune (mind, body and spirit) The Bible says we are made in the image of God so I think our souls are made of the same kind of life force that is God 😊
It's an information set and as such it has tangibility.
@Renkon We first need to separate the idea of soul from spirit. Soul is strictly a product of the physical realm and its tangibility is demonstrable in two ways: media transference and simple divisibility. We could also include interaction.

@leftsw hmm🤔, I thought it the other way around. The soul being a non-physical entity.

Could you tell me what's media transference and how is soul divisible?
@Renkon Spirit is the magic equivalent of soul favored by the faiths. It's a redundant, irrational and non-testable idea that can't be successfully argued to include God or to offer us immortality.

Information sets survive media transference intact. One example is a fax. If you only send half the fax that's divisibility. If they respond in kind that's interaction.

Tangibility is the only possibility for immortality

Energy so Id think frequency. It wouldn't be tangible in sense of a state of matter, and could travel through it. I think there was a study that measure the weight of the soul as 26lbs

It's made of life, and will die with life
Renkon · 41-45, M
@SW-User However, the soul is regarded immortal and indestructible in most Religons and spiritual wisdoms. And it is not regarded as life, but rather as something which fuels the process of life in a physical body.

So why do you feel it's just life? Any reason?
Peaceandnamaste · 26-30, F
Energy just in a different form.

Our self and our essence.

I'm still a little confused as to what the soul is, and how it is differentiated from the spirit. I know what a spirit is.
