A feeling in my soul. That I'm not alone. If I didn't believe in God I don't think I would be alive today. Sometimes my faith in God is all I have to keep going
SW-User
@Lilliesandlight Well God bless you… He obviously does… and will.

@SW-User God bless you too ❤️

@Lilliesandlight it’s not just your soul. It’s the Holy Spirit in your heart.

@SW-User I didn't grow up going to church so I'm not familiar with the Holy Spirit
SW-User
@Lilliesandlight We’ll it’s not complicated, though some talk it that way. It’s the Trinity - there is One God, but manifests Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. In God’s economy they take on different functions.

That’s very summarized… 😛

You must have a really sad life. :(

@NortiusMaximus Maybe. Maybe not. But she has eternal salvation.
@SW-User No, that's just christian hubris. She only thinks she has.
SW-User
@NortiusMaximus Nope. You say that cause you need to justify dismissing her real experience. I pray your not one the Lord has selected out, but if you don’t seek Him, them that’s on you.
@SW-User
You say that cause you need to justify dismissing her real experience.
I am not dismissing her feelings at all, just pointing out that she appears to be clinging onto a belief in order to get through life. The fact that her belief helps her does not make the object of that belief real. Millions of people believe in other gods and their beliefs are just as valid as hers.
SW-User
@NortiusMaximus you’re right, the feelings don’t. But the evidence does, some of which has been pointed at in recent posts here. The work and presence of the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s heart is a real presence, part of the evidence for God for those that need it, and is not a “feeling”, which is something we all can have.
@SW-User
The work and presence of the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s heart is a real presence, part of the evidence for God for those that need it,
That works just as well for any god, it's not empirical evidence of your preferred one. The work and presence of the [insert preferred deity] in a [insert name of preferred deity's religion] heart is a real presence, part of the evidence for [preferred deity]for those that need it,

@NortiusMaximus Except one is true, and the other isn’t. Not … a minor difference.
… and we’ve already established the Lord separated us from Himself due to sin, and thus requires faith, a faith based on the overwhelming preponderance of evidence, of which you apparently in denial. Empirical (or test) is not the only basis, and the human record with empirical evidence is not particularly good ( especially among atheists, who are deceived easily).
But hey, you still think you’re nonsensical, does not follow babble is the making of a worthy case. Go figure.
@SW-User
Except one is true, and the other isn’t.
Yes, and members of different religions disagree as to which is which. Even members of different sects of christianity can't agree.
and we’ve already established the Lord separated us from Himself due to sin,
No, that's just one of the christians' many unsupported claims.
a faith based on the overwhelming preponderance of evidence,
No, there is no real evidence at all. At least none that christian apologiosts are able or willing to present.
the human record with empirical evidence is not particularly good ( especially among atheists, who are deceived easily).
Atheists aren't as easily deceived as christians. We're not the ones with imaginary friends.

What the Hell is that supposed to mean? Just more christian nonsense.
