This is a true account. Are you going to say that it isn't?

Why are you trying to trigger skeptics?
Adstar56-60, M
@MissPerfect Why should skeptics be triggered by this post?

If a skeptic is confident in their skepticism they should not be triggered by other people expressing their beliefs.. A person at peace with their skepticism would probably not even bother reading / watching a post like this..
MissPerfect22-25, F
@Adstar The question is clearly aimed at provoking skeptics on the emotional as well as intellectual level. It seems to be a pattern with this user. Quite frankly, those that dwell on whether God exists or not aren't very bright.
BlueSkyKingM
@Adstar Being skeptical about the motive of skeptics? It methodology of an extraordinary claim. A Texas Sharpshooter fallacy.
Adstar56-60, M
@MissPerfect It's a question to tempt people who are fence sitters to watch the video and hopefully be moved to seek God.. But for a confident committed skeptic they would not be triggered and would not even bother watching the video or engaging at all.. So the point i made is valid for confident skeptics who are at peace with their point of view..
Quite frankly, those that dwell on whether God exists or not aren't very bright.
And that's your view..

There are other views counter to your view::

Psalm 14: 1 [c=7700B2]The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God[/c].

Yep a very to the point and frank view also..
Adstar56-60, M
@BlueSkyKing
@Adstar Being skeptical about the motive of skeptics?
I am not skeptical of the motives of true skeptics..

I am skeptical of people who make a show of being skeptics when in fact they are not truly confident in their Skepticism. So much so that a Christian posting a testimony video will ""trigger"" them..

I remember when i recently watched a Video series about Buddhism and it was a good series with comedic al themes in it.. Now as a Christian was a triggered by the series... Nope.. Why was i not triggered by the series?? Because i am a confident Christian at peace with my View of God and the Way He has made for me to be redeemed 馃

Anyway lets see if you ""skeptics"" are so weak and uncertain that you can be triggered by the intro to the Buddhist video series that i watched.. 馃き

@Adstar Except belief in God is consistent with dwelling at the folly marker. It's a case of believers projecting a fatal flaw onto others. You probably haven't studied psychology, so the accurate mapping of beliefs will be meaningless to you.
Adstar56-60, M
@MissPerfect
It's a case of believers projecting a fatal flaw onto others.
Either a person is Perfect or they are less then Perfect..

People who believe that they are perfect are delusional because no human being is perfect..

projection?? Nope Just making a true and valid point that no honest human being can deny.. delusional ones can deny the reality of their own imperfection.. But not people with their heads screwed on right..

Oh and like that young woman in the video who declared that she still sins ( thus still being imperfect ) yeah i am like her, I am still a sinner too ( imperfect) But i am a forgiven sinner and will continue to be forgiven every time i sin until the day of my death...

So no it's not projection at all...
MissPerfect22-25, F
@Adstar So you stand against reason, proof and truth. Enjoy your belief then. 馃榾

@MissPerfect
Chuckles refers to us as skeptics rather than Atheist. He believes no one truly can not believe in god. Another thing he got wrong.
MissPerfect22-25, F
@DocSavage He's entitled to believe as he wants. Not everyone values reason as a means to truth.
DocSavageM
@MissPerfect
Not him. If you look at his past post, you鈥檒l see the last thing he values is reason, honesty, and truth. Which is why I responded as I did. He鈥檒l use your replies as strawman arguments for claims not made, and to avoid the burden of proof for his own claims.
Most of us just go straight into ridiculing him now.
MissPerfect22-25, F
@DocSavage I've studied the psychology of beliefs. It's fascinating how much reason reveals. For instance, it has been proved that nature (the cosmos) is the agency that provides afterlife- and not God at all.
BlueSkyKingM
@MissPerfect Provide the links. What鈥檚 the evidence for an afterlife?

@Adstar
he fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.
Even in those far off days theists thought personal insults were a valid substitute for real evidence. Things haven't changed much at all.

@MissPerfect
Why are you trying to trigger skeptics?
I'm pitting the truth of God against the lies of men.
@GodSpeed63

The truth is that Allah heals.
If you think that the testimony you shared is proof of Yahweh healing then on what basis do you discount the testimony of the Muslim?
GodSpeed6361-69, M
@Adstar
But i am a forgiven sinner and will continue to be forgiven every time i sin until the day of my death...
Amen, brother, amen!!

You neglected one thing in your studies, sister: belief follows truth and not the other way around.
@GodSpeed63
belief follows truth
So by that logic the belief that Allah is God and Muhammad is his prophet follows the truth that Allah is God and Muhammad is his prophet...
GodSpeed6361-69, M
@Pikachu
So by that logic the belief that Allah is God and Muhammad is his prophet follows the truth that Allah is God and Muhammad is his prophet...
You ought to know better than that, Pikachu, there's only one true God and it's not Allah.
@GodSpeed63
there' only one true God and it's not Allah
Let's assume for the sake of argument that, that is true.
Using your metric of "Belief follows truth" how do you determine that your belief in Yahweh follows truth but a Muslim's belief in Allah does NOT follow truth?

Or perhaps you'd like to recognize at this time that belief doe NOT necessarily follow truth in which case you should stop repeating that error.

I look forward to what i'm sure will be a pertinent response and thoughtful treatment of the issue i have demonstrated in your logic....馃檮

@GodSpeed63 Reasoning with a believer is like reasoning with a drunk. Pass.
GodSpeed6361-69, M
@Pikachu @MissPerfect
how do you determine that your belief in Yahweh follows truth
Through His Spirit of Truth and through His Word. For Likeavirgin's sake, Jesus said that we must born again in order to see the kingdom of God.
