@OogieBoogie The great feeling of pure joy when you have taken your part in seeing another person eternally saved from the eternal lake of fire..

@OogieBoogie Yes and No.. If one enjoys happy endings for other people then yeah it's self serving.. But we do not get anything like a special bonus from God.. Basically Jesus departing orders when He left earth was to go out and share the message of God with all peoples.. So even if you're the type of Christian who does not get much joy from sharing the gospel you should still do it when the opportunity arises out of loyalty and obedience to God..
But yeah i hardly ever experience joy sharing the Gospel.. Most people i share the Gospel with spit in my face psychologically they react to the wonderful message with anger and hate.. So for most of the time i get nothing but denigration when i share the message of God..

@Adstar maybe you just come on too hard . Its usually never a good idea to go full throttle on any passion or interest when just starting a conversation , it makes people wary.

@OogieBoogie I'm the type who responds usually to other people who start a conversation about God and religion.. I'm not the type to corner someone and smash them over the head with a Bible.. But yeah when the discussion is started already i go in 100%. I guess some people get scared.. I know a lot of woman tend to be sensitive and detect aggression when no aggression is really there..

@OogieBoogie Necessity is layed up me to share the gospel instead of folding my hands and watching people go to hell.

@karysma Not to complain , but often advice given timely and gently is more often absorbed, than confronting people with it .
Like, i could confront someone with a drug addiction and tell them to stop - but we both know that wont work. In fact , they are more likely to rebel agaisnt me for just mentioning it. But if i friend them, and engage with them, take time to understand them, then maybe i can work on them forming better habits, finding other meaningful things that lessen the need, time and money they would put to drugs . Set an example they can follow .
Im just saying , if you want to touch a soul, its usually a nice idea to do it gently and personally.....with compassion , so the connection has meaning 🤷♀️

@Adstar well words and the way they come across can be misinterpreted ....especially in this format .
And as far as i know, (whicj isnt much) , grace is slow and kind and observingly compassionate . Grace is not a full throttle thing .
Im not saying you dont have it , im just saying that stong passion or enthusiasm for something can blind one from ones audience, or even from how one is possibly portraying themselves .
One can be so enthusiastic they migjt come across as aggressive, and not even be aware of it.

@OogieBoogie That is so true. I don't think we can bring people to salvation in our own efforts no matter how sweet we are to them but it I do agree that showing them love and compassion might provoke a change in someone. But then again salvation is personalized for everyone.
