What Destroys The Temple Of The Living God?

midnightrose · F Best Comment
Unrepented sin.

What I get from this verse is less the destroying part and more how I should be treating by body. What I take into my body, figuratively and literally, affects my spirit. If I take in the best things my spirit can have the best environment in which to be strong and be at one with God.

@midnightrose Amen to that. Couldn't have said it any better. I've realized that loving myself and treating myself with respect is the first step to taking care of the Temple of the Most High God. I understand that where I am is holy 24/7.
@karysma Yes. Absolutely! Thanks for bc.

@midnightrose Most welcome.

He kinda fucked up when he built it with defective materials...

(Ephesians 6:10-12) "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. {11} Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. {12} For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
A lot of temples are destroyed by diseases God gave us.

Give or take a few years in Pergatory.

@Adstar Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that is what the scripture in 1 Corinthians 3 talks about. I only googled the word purgatory and I know I've read scripture that talks about something to it's description but then again I'm probably misinformed.

@karysma I just finished reading 1 Corinthians 3 and did not see purgatory in it..

Basic Christianity 101.. The LORD Jesus died on the Cross to Atone for the sins of each and every person that believes Him and trusts that His Atonement pays the penalty for all their sins..

Do you agree with the above statement? I do..

But there are some who do not believe in the above statement of faith and who preach that you have to go after death to a place to have your sins purged, that you have to suffer for your own sins in purgatory and they also encourage others to pray prayers thinking the prayers are part payment for the penalty of sins to reduce the time their loved ones spend getting their sins purged in purgatory..

Believing in purgatory is declaring that the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is inadequate and does not pay for the sins of believers.. That Jesus suffered death for nothing..

@Adstar I totally agree with the Basic Christian 101. I know I've seen it somewhere in the Bible where it describes purgatory. I'll be sure to post it when I find it. I might have misunderstood that particular scripture and should have researched but at the time I was a bit alarmed and just wanted to forget about it.
Question: what do you get out of preaching your relgion ?

Just curious.

@Emosaur Well my God destroyed logic *shug*

@karysma No, you just choose to ignore logic and everything else that casts doubt on your beliefs.
