have you ever gotten a reading from a medium?

Please share your experiences

Serious, they are full of bullshit for the gullible and stupid
Graylight · 51-55, F
I was into exploring the supernatural and metaphysical around age 18, so I went to see three mediums in quick succession. Two were worthless and I can still argue for or against the 3rd, but she knew some oddly specific detail unrelated to astrology, offered information, leading questions, etc. It was very interesting. All encouraged me to tape the sessions.

I'm hardly sold, but I'd like to think there's more out there than we can even conceive.
@Graylight They make the claims and you accept their say-so. Not long ago, the late James Randi offered a million dollar challenge to anyone that could simply do what they claim. Under standard scientific settings. No one came remotely close. But it seems to you that such ability is common. No problem you finding at least three. Wouldn’t a scientifically validated "psychic" be the most trustworthy?

@BlueSkyKing I am particularly well acquainted with learning and teaching people how to read others to extract knowledge they didn't know they wanted to give.

I was asked for an experience and offered one from memory. This is not a research facility.

I’d never go to one. They try to hook people in to keep coming back and that seems like a huge scam.
RebelHeart · 36-40, F
Yes, mostly because it was on my bucket list. I was curious and wanted to do it one time because i think you cant judge something until youve tried it.
She actually got everything spot on. Some stuff i knew at the time was true and other stuff i only know was true now that time has passed. But i wouldnt go and see one again as i want to make my own decisions, not make them because someone has told me what the outcome might be
heyitsemma · 26-30, F
@RebelHeart I believe in them, but yeah i agree its better to write your own destiny rather than get caught up in what someone has said. Nothings ever certain, there are only potential or likely timelines you could follow

Ya. It came true. Demons that help them also know some truth about the upcoming events , so the “reading” actually “worked”.
I have an adage: If it’s not science, it’s superstition. For me, magical thinking is reality. And I embrace reality with every ounce of my being.

Also, if anyone of us had such ability, would we hesitate to get very rich?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@BlueSkyKing You are way off point now . Prove the the Bible has worthwhile scientific principles in it. Prove mankind has always known about the tides and other inextricable effects of science, even as he was migrating out of the desert.
@Graylight What are you talking about? All I said was there were people, mostly astrologers, that did observations. Nothing bible related. The moon is responsible for most of the tides.

@BlueSkyKing um... Well.. how to say this? I may have been in a "lifted" mood last night and not at my most focused... 🥴

She took my $5.00 and I can't even remember what she said...🤣
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou She sit sit down and that will be $5.00 😀

Yes, when I was young. God threatens to curse us if we turn to mediums. I turn only to God now.
heyitsemma · 26-30, F
@Carazaa I guess I'll see you in hell then :D
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M

JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
Yes. I believed what I was told and it was impossible for him to know any of what he told me.

I mean, he told me what i had been doing that day in my home when I was alone with my very young toddler son. I never met my father but he made sure the medium told me what he wanted me to hear. I still have the recording.
