The Authenticity of the Bible [Spirituality & Religion]

~~~❤~~~
Early in Genesis after Adam and Eve sinned, God made known His plan of redemption, which He repeatedly promised and expanded upon throughout the Old Testament. The promises were fulfilled in a surprising but predicted way: by the Savior’s sacrificial death and subsequent resurrection, as recorded in the New Testament. The Bible then announced the future fulfillment of the Savior’s redemptive work in Revelation.
Both the Bible and history weave together in seamless harmony, as though the Creator ordained this plan and recorded it in Scripture even before it unfolded in history. And that’s exactly what the Bible claims took place! God says that He alone can declare the future (Isaiah 42:9), and hundreds of His prophetic predictions have been fulfilled with absolute precision, while others await fulfillment.
The unity of Scripture demonstrates its supernatural inspiration. Only the one true, holy God could provide us with such a flawless Bible that reveals such a matchless message: the Lord’s staggering love for His creation.
Seven Compelling Evidences Confirm the Bible Is True
1. God’s Character
2. Claims of Divine Authorship
3. Unity of the Bible
4. Fulfilled Prophecy
5. Scientific Accuracy
6. Archaeological Finds
7. Life-Changing Power
People often accuse the Bible of being full of contradictions. However, when the supposed contradictions are carefully examined, the conflict dissolves.
We shouldn't get so wrapped up in the authenticity of the Bible, that we miss the real purpose in having it transcribed...to spread the word about the saving grace of Jesus for all mankind.
Jesus didn't come to put a band-aide on everything, nor to be a gift-horse. He came for a much more important cause. To save souls from Hell. Don't put God in a box of your own making and rules. Behind every supposed biblical "error" there is a powerful truth waiting to be found.
the bible is true because it says in the bible ....
@Caroline259: The Holy Spirit is the one who speaks to hearts, and it is only through Him that God can be understood. In your quest to prove God's existence, don't miss the most important question you could ever ask yourself: Where will I spend eternity? Even if God showed up at your door and you started believing in Him, that is not enough to give you eternal life. That's really what's at stake here, when it comes to beliefs. Souls.
God did show up on the earth—in the person of Jesus Christ—and worked many miracles, and although the world still dates history by His supernatural birth, some skeptics still refuse to accept any documentation or biblical evidence for His resurrection (Acts 1:3). Jesus was born of a virgin, but they accused him of being an illegitimate child (John 8:41). The wise men followed a star that pointed to the exact location of the Christ child (Matthew 2:9), but Herod wanted to kill Him. In radiant glory, angels announced His birth to the shepherds, but He died in naked shame on a cross.
There is plenty of evidence for God’s existence in the creation and every person already knows that God exists. Skeptics suppress that knowledge, their understanding of the evidence, and their own consciences in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18–32; 2:14–16). God (Jesus Christ) has already knocked on the world’s door, and many did not listen. They have explained Him away as a good teacher (John 3:2; 7:12), a crazy man (John 7:20), or a deceiver (John 7:12). Approximately 2,000 years later, times have not changed very much (Ecclesiastes 1:9–10) and neither has the heart of man (Jeremiah 17:9).
@Caroline259: If you want to focus solely on the authenticity of the Bible, its origin and so forth, and proof of God, you can do that, but you'll miss the Bible's most important message of all time, and if you miss that, you've missed everything...which is the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, the only Savior to the world. John 3:16 When people start making truth their priority, all they'll care about is what God revealed...not flawed and imperfect man.
@JustaFriend: Unless the bible's authenticity can be proven, any promises therein are worthless.
Quoting the bible is meaningless because that is what is in question.
Your 'proof' presupposes the existence of your god has already been proven. That's no proof at all.
I asked you earlier if you believe in Santa Claus but, thus far, you have avoided answering. Why?
Bible helps us in transforming ourselves into a good living soul. I have read both the Old and the New Testament and so many question arises inside me that why are we not following it. Some laws out there are changing which the Bible opposes and people surprisingly are accepting it, very complicated. I believe in Bible a lot as sometimes when I am down and I need answers I close my eyes, just pray to God my intention and open a Random page with eyes closed and I feel I can connect with it. We came into this world for a very short time, its only our body that will be on earth but not our soul. Bible teaches us on living values and how we can reach God and be a Happy Soul. 👼
Well said. 👍☝
bible is put together by men, it is not meant to be taken literally..it is allegorical or continuous metaphor..can be helpful to live life..the story of the garden of eden is metaphor..they eat of the forbidden fruit, actually means they became split, lost paradise, paradise is nonduality, being whole...they eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil...when we realize we are separated by our ego and get free from its dominance then we are returned to the paradise....look up advaita..just google it..
@Prisca: It was only when Adam took a bite of the fruit, that made the deed complete. (Hence both of their eyes were opened). ... Because Satan knew he wouldn't be able to tempt Adam, he had to use Eve to get to him. By deceiving Eve to eat the fruit, Adam willingly gave in.
jesus also is reported to have said, the kingdom of heavan is within you....the last place we would think of looking.we are all one...eternity does no mean endless time it means no time...time is a human construct..when we leave time we are ego free not bound...when asked how to pray, he began with "our father", meaning we are all one...I am in you you are in me I am in the father....teilhard chardin a French Jesuit said "we are spearheads of gods ever advancing creations" ..Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, `I have said you are gods'"he never once said he was the son of god, son of man, yes....
@plantbased: The last thing God would tell us, is that we are god. If that were so, we could save our own soul. That is not the case. Otherwise, Jesus would not have had to die on the cross.
