The Authenticity of the Bible [Spirituality & Religion]

~~~❤~~~
Early in Genesis after Adam and Eve sinned, God made known His plan of redemption, which He repeatedly promised and expanded upon throughout the Old Testament. The promises were fulfilled in a surprising but predicted way: by the Savior’s sacrificial death and subsequent resurrection, as recorded in the New Testament. The Bible then announced the future fulfillment of the Savior’s redemptive work in Revelation.
Both the Bible and history weave together in seamless harmony, as though the Creator ordained this plan and recorded it in Scripture even before it unfolded in history. And that’s exactly what the Bible claims took place! God says that He alone can declare the future (Isaiah 42:9), and hundreds of His prophetic predictions have been fulfilled with absolute precision, while others await fulfillment.
The unity of Scripture demonstrates its supernatural inspiration. Only the one true, holy God could provide us with such a flawless Bible that reveals such a matchless message: the Lord’s staggering love for His creation.
Seven Compelling Evidences Confirm the Bible Is True
1. God’s Character
2. Claims of Divine Authorship
3. Unity of the Bible
4. Fulfilled Prophecy
5. Scientific Accuracy
6. Archaeological Finds
7. Life-Changing Power
People often accuse the Bible of being full of contradictions. However, when the supposed contradictions are carefully examined, the conflict dissolves.
We shouldn't get so wrapped up in the authenticity of the Bible, that we miss the real purpose in having it transcribed...to spread the word about the saving grace of Jesus for all mankind.
Jesus didn't come to put a band-aide on everything, nor to be a gift-horse. He came for a much more important cause. To save souls from Hell. Don't put God in a box of your own making and rules. Behind every supposed biblical "error" there is a powerful truth waiting to be found.
bible is put together by men, it is not meant to be taken literally..it is allegorical or continuous metaphor..can be helpful to live life..the story of the garden of eden is metaphor..they eat of the forbidden fruit, actually means they became split, lost paradise, paradise is nonduality, being whole...they eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil...when we realize we are separated by our ego and get free from its dominance then we are returned to the paradise....look up advaita..just google it..
I don't understand this one thing, God told both Adam and Eve not to have the Forbidden Apple but when the Satan was tempting Eve with the apple Adam was right there beside Eve, so why didn't Adam stop her he stood there and watched, again had a piece of it. Now that's why it can be seen so many Adams out there does not protect their wife.
Plantbased: Were you there?
Prisca · 31-35, F
No, but the way the Bible described and I imagined. It was just a thought.
@Prisca: I will answer these all tomorrow. I've got to get to bed. Thanks to all for your questions.
Okay.
I would like to say explain why I feel this:- Gen 2:15 The Lord God took the man and put him to guard and cultivate the Garden of Eden. Gen 2:16 God tells Adam about the Tree of knowledge. Gen 2:18 God's design for marriage that man cannot live alone. But nothing shows that God told Eve about the tree directly after creating Eve. Gen 3:1-6 Satan's Temptation. The satan knew that Eve didn't get any order from God about the tree and she knew it because her husband told her so the satan found Eve to be attacked easily with the temptation. Eve also thought how wonderful it was to become wise and took the fruit ate it and then gave to Adam. So wasn't Adam watching this whole thing that was going on and couldn't he stop her??? And Gen 3:17 God said to Adam “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’. So this also shows that God told commanded Adam not Eve.
Plantbased: Thank you for your entry.
@Prisca: It was only when Adam took a bite of the fruit, that made the deed complete. (Hence both of their eyes were opened). ... Because Satan knew he wouldn't be able to tempt Adam, he had to use Eve to get to him. By deceiving Eve to eat the fruit, Adam willingly gave in.
jesus also is reported to have said, the kingdom of heavan is within you....the last place we would think of looking.we are all one...eternity does no mean endless time it means no time...time is a human construct..when we leave time we are ego free not bound...when asked how to pray, he began with "our father", meaning we are all one...I am in you you are in me I am in the father....teilhard chardin a French Jesuit said "we are spearheads of gods ever advancing creations" ..Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, `I have said you are gods'"he never once said he was the son of god, son of man, yes....
@plantbased: The last thing God would tell us, is that we are god. If that were so, we could save our own soul. That is not the case. Otherwise, Jesus would not have had to die on the cross.
